About Bilim

BILIM Uzbek Cultural Centre is a charity registered in England and Wales.

BILIM’s main purpose is to advance education for the public benefit by offering classes to teach Uzbek language, literature, history, culture and other specialities.

BILIM was founded on April 25, 2017, by several volunteers from Uzbekistan who currently reside in London.

During 2017-2020, BILIM operated a supplementary school, on Saturdays to provide education on Uzbek language, literature, culture, history and traditions of Uzbekistan to the children of mainly in Uzbek diaspora.

In the process of educating children on Uzbek national traditions, the school also organised family events to celebrate Uzbek national holidays such as Navroz, Independence Day, Eid, and New Year.

While the supplementary school closed due to COVID-19 restrictions in 2020, BILIM has continued to operate as a cultural centre, connecting Uzbek people in the UK.

Join us today and become a part of the BILIM community!
